| Physical Description | Josselin is young, curvy and beautiful with long wavy blonde hair (dyed) and black eyes. She has the grace and deportment of a model, as she was one before leaving Betazed. Josselin is currently the boot of Detective Evelyn Nyx and is a Detective in training. This means she spends most of her time in civvies. The requirements for being able to handle action and conceal a weapon and badge affect her fashion choices somewhat, as does the desire not to draw too much attention, although the potential for efficacy there is limited by her and her T.O. both being quite attractive. Believing she needs to look her age at work to not be immediately suspicious, Josselin tends to favour a leather jacket, wide-leg fashionable pants, flat ankle boots with a modified grippier sole and some sort of crop top, showing her flat tummy. Her hair changes from day to day and depending on assignment or activity. Most of the time it's around her shoulders but if things are likely to get spicy, or if they're at a crime scene it's in a long, full ponytail. |

Personality & Traits
| General Overview | Josselin is fiercely intelligent, although she doesn't realise it. She was brought up in a circle of people who all pushed their children to be people of high education and renown. As she grew up she saw little difference between herself and her peers and assumes everyone is as clever as she, but this is not so. She has an I.Q. of around 140 and is extremely fast at picking up new skills and adapting to the environment, people and situations around her. Another skill she's unaware of is how good she is at manipulation. Josselin can see both with telepathy and without people's desires and can often say just the right thing to have them comply or react to her positively. She's gotten this skill from many years of satiating her mother through one method or another. Josselin doesn't deploy this talent for her own selfish gain however, it's usually more of a defence, or a method to help with her job and goes both ways. If she can see what someone wants to get them to comply, she can also see empathically what they want if they're in trouble, upset or in pain. This, and her noteworthy beauty leads to people falling in love with her fairly regularly. Josselin tends to find this rather boring and finds the people who do lacking in mental fortitude. Josselin was always a good looking child, but in recent years she has become outstandingly attractive. Her self-esteem is quite high because of this. She can be a bit of a brat, but her ego about her beauty has remained vaguely in check due to the stigma of 'only' being half Betazoid that she felt on her home world and frequent intervention from her older half sister Emmalin who led by example and tried to keep Josselin grounded. It wasn't difficult, as Emmalin was Josselin's rock to lean on when her own parents were being insufferable during her teenage years and Josselin put a lot of stock in the advice she received from 'Emm'. As a result Josselin is an odd mix of exhibitionist and feminist. Fundamentally Josselin is a kind person with a strong sense of morals. Being aware of the feelings of others, especially her father has made her more unwilling to knowingly hurt anyone, or certainly anyone who doesn't deserve it. She's also fun, witty, a little bratty and not particularly enthusiastic for the more onerous aspects of adulthood, which is something she's still getting used to. Josselin can be unreasonable and immature, she's certainly not older than her years in a lot of ways. She's quite guarded of her image and showing too much personality, but when she's really comfortable with someone she can be warm, passionate and can even be a tad goofy. Josselin has an irrational fear of going to priso, it's her worst nightmare. |

| Hobbies & Interests | Josselin is not very adventurous with food and doesn't eat too much, a bit of a fallout from her modelling days. Her favourite food is the simple sandwich and it's a very odd day where she doesn't eat at least one. She loves to experiment with different combinations of breads, fillings and accompaniments. She's also a big fan of dunking said sandwiches in soup and experimenting with soup combos as well. Her ratios of filling to bread will often be skewed towards the latter more than normal to maintain a healthy diet. Josselin abhors junk food and sugar. Josselin isn't one for stimulants and will only have one or perhaps two cups of coffee per day. She doesn't drink tea or juice or pop and tends to stick to water, most of the time. She does love a cocktail however and will happily mix up an array of Betazoid examples should anyone ask. Josselin's main hobby when not at work is fashion and beauty. She's a religious waxer and while she doesn't go in for nail art or colour she always likes to have properly presented nails, usually with a french tip, or a simple clear coat or similar. Outside of work, false eyelashes, varied and colourful eyeshadow and solid foundation to cover some teenage breakouts are the name of her game, properly bronzed and blushed to perfection. She does keep things staid for work however. |
| Personal History | Josselin was born in 2383 on Betazed. Her mother Ryanda had recently lost control over her first daughter Emmalin and had been divorced by her first husband, Jorel, both because they despised her. Ryanda was a sociopathic control freak and while she had little to no criminal intent, she did like to control people. It was only a year before Josselin was born that Ryanda married a human, one whom she could influence with her telepathy and keep from abandoning her, a man called David. And so Josselin was born into a family where her mopther wanted to control her every action and decision and her father let her. This meant that by the time Josselin was twelve, she hated her mother and was disgusted by her father. Looking for as many ways to get away from home as possible Josselin filled her time with extra-curriculars. This was a win-win as Ryanda wanted her to be as accomplished as possible. Out of many disciplines modelling was one she took to well, partly because of the potential for more time away from home. Josselin turned Sixteen in 2400 and became a fashion model for a clothing line aimed at teenagers. It was during this period that she turned more and more to her older half-sister Emmalin for advice and support, having a nightmare mother in common, and Emmalin being almost the antithesis of their mother in personality. Finally having had enough of Ryanda, Josselin left Betazed in October 2401 when she turned 18 and could legally book passage by herself as an adult. She went straight to her half-sister's post at Starbase 110. Needing some sort of employment there to pay her way as the Station was not a Federation station Josselin decided to join the Station Marshalls, as she craved excitement and remembered how kind they had been to her on her arrival and how under-staffed they were. She completed her bootcamp in Spring of 2402 at the top of her class and became a Station Deputy. In May 2402 she was taken under the wing of Detective Evelyn Nyx and has begun her probabtionary year as a detecive's rookie. |
