General Overview

Nyara is a graceful, gently spoken woman with a deeply spiritual outlook on life. She and the other Children of the Fall can be found in the Order’s temple in the Order’s Charterhouse housing in the residential area of the station. The Children operate a soup kitchen and homeless accommodation for the more unfortunate on the station, or even for travellers passing through and anyone is welcome to join their meditation either in the temple or in the green spaces of the station. Their public services are once a day during the evening starfall, although there is often a presence on the stations primary viewing platform during the morning fall as well. The Order’s temple is closed to non-order member for two hours during the early evening, while the soup kitchen is in operation. The official reason given is so that order members can be released from temple duty for kitchen duty or for private meditation. However, rumour has it that the Order conducts its less spiritual training during these hours. Many have made the mistake of assuming that the Children are the pacifist religious organisation they appear to be on the surface, and by and large they are. But, those who cause issues at the soup kitchen or the shelter soon find out that none of the Children are pushovers, and are quickly dealt with. Unofficially, most people of a sufficient disposition or interest know that the Children are the primary gunrunners in the sector. They defend their territory and customer base fiercely, to the point that not even orion ‘traders’ will touch the area.

Nyara’s personal history before joining the Children is unknown, as is her original name. All Children take the last name Vane upon taking vows for the order.
